Customs Entry Writer

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and submit customs entries for import shipments in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

- Review shipping documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists, to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Classify imported merchandise according to tariff schedules and customs regulations.

- Communicate with customs authorities and other relevant parties to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the clearance process.

- Stay current on changes to customs regulations and policies to ensure compliance and minimize risk.

- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

**Qualifications:**

- Prior experience as a Customs Entry Writer or in a similar role within the customs brokerage industry.

- Proficient knowledge of customs regulations, tariff schedules, and import procedures.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency with customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office suite.
