Responsibilities:
- Take charge of establishing and managing administrative operations for our new office location in Tampa, FL.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors to support project needs.
- Manage accounts, including processing credit applications, tracking invoices, and managing accounts receivable/payable.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment, leveraging local resources.
- Conduct basic estimating tasks to support project needs and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain organized systems for tracking bid due dates, project documentation, and correspondence.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the office environment for optimal productivity.
- Provide support to project managers and field staff as needed to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Demonstrate knowledge of pipe laying projects, including reading plans and understanding how work is conducted in various environments, including streets and neighborhoods.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Excellent budgeting and financial management skills
- Ability to effectively manage teams and delegate tasks
- Proficient in using phone systems for communication purposes
- Experience in vendor management and negotiation
- Exceptional calendar management skills for scheduling purposes
- Previous experience in front desk or clerical roles is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
BONUS: Experience in Underground Utilties, Directional Drilling, Wellpoint and Bypassing, Pipe laying/replacements, Water, Seweage. Experience with construction project management. Familiarity working with municipalities. Familiarity with gantt charts. Bonus Bonus: You personally know pipe superintendents and pipe foremans.
