Boat Captain - Contract

CDR Maguire Inc., a national engineering and emergency management firm, is seeking several Boat Captains to assist in providing waterway transportation during the Debris Clean up operations within the state of Florida.

Looking for Captains that have their own vessel between 20 - 30 feet long to be hired as 1099 independent contractors.

Essential Functions:

• Transport staff providing monitoring services for the debris removal operations.
• Communicate with other boaters in the area to ensure safety when operating near other vessels.
• Ensure all safety equipment is in good working order and store it properly on board the vessel.
• Dock or undock vessels, sometimes maneuvering through narrow spaces.
• Monitor the loading or discharging of cargo or passengers.
• Navigating using charts using navigational tools, such as global positioning systems (GPS) to transport employees to different locations.
• Maintaining accurate records of daily activities, including fuel levels and maintenance performed on the boat.

Requirements

• Must be able to provide current license
• If you have your own boat, must be a minimum of 20ft long, maximum of 30ft long.
• Must be able to work 7 days a week, up to 12 hours a day
