Accounting Assistant

Goodyear Belts by Adventry Corp. is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including preparing financial documents, reconciling accounts, and performing data entry. Goodyear Belts is a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial and automotive aftermarket power transmission belts, operating under a licensing agreement with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial documents, such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable/receivable
• Perform data entry to update and maintain accounting records and databases
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial statements
• Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis
• Handle inquiries and provide support to internal and external stakeholder
• Participating in quarterly and annual audits
• Follow established accounting policies and procedures
• Communicating with customers about their account by phone and email

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role or related field
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus
• Associate degree in accounting or related field is preferred
