Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Storage Backup Security Engineer to join our team. As a Storage Backup Security Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of our storage backup systems. You will work closely with our IT team to design and implement backup and storage solutions that meet our business needs while ensuring the security of our data.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for our storage systems
- Monitor and manage data backups to ensure successful completion and optimal performance
- Conduct regular audits and verification of backup systems to identify and address any security vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain storage security policies and procedures
- Investigate and respond to security incidents related to storage backup systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks
- Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance storage backup security
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience in storage backup security, with a focus on designing and implementing secure storage solutions
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies and backup tools, such as EMC, NetApp, Veeam, or CommVault
- Experience with storage protocols and technologies, including NAS, SAN, and cloud storage
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001 and NIST
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and respond to security incidents quickly and effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Relevant certifications, such as CISSP or CISM, are preferred but not required.
