Full Job Description
- Perform advanced, specialized engineering/planning work requiring independent judgment in some or all of the following areas.
- Traffic Impact Studies
- Intersection Capacity and Safety Analysis
- Parking Studies
- Traffic Signal Design
- Review of roadway geometrics and signal timing
- Bicycle and pedestrian evaluation
- Prepare technical reports
- Plan, schedule, and ensure the efficient and timely completion of all phases of projects
- Research local design standards for preparation of traffic studies
- Assist with training of junior staff
- Present information and/or findings to public agencies, review boards, governing bodies, or private citizens
Requirements
Education
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Management or Decision Management
Experience
- 8 or more years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of traffic analysis software (HCS, CAD, Synchro, VISSIM preferred)
- Experience in staff management and training/mentoring is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation experience.
Benefits
The estimated starting salary pay range for this role is $90,000 -$110,000
