Senior Tax Accountant - CPA

Hire Resolve's client, a reputable CPA firm located in Washington DC, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. The firm provides comprehensive tax and accounting services to individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. They are committed to delivering tailored solutions to their clients and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling complex tax matters and providing tax planning and compliance services. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and assist them in minimizing their tax liabilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge of tax regulations and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
• Research and interpret tax laws and regulations
• Assist with tax audits and communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients
• Review and analyze financial statements
• Mentor and train junior staff members
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations

Requirements

• CPA certification is required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting at a CPA firm
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
