Senior Office Manager (15.18)
OCT Consulting, LLC is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
Responsibilities and Duties
OCT currently has an opening for a Senior Office Manager to work with our federal client, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Acquisition (OA). This position reports to the Mission Support Directorate Lead and Customer Service Support Project Manager. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Report directly to the Chief of Staff.
- Answer and transfer telephone calls and take messages.
- Sort and deliver incoming mail and send outgoing mail out.
- Schedule appointments and receive customers or visitors.
- Provide general information to staff, clients, or the public.
- Type, format, or edit routine memos or other reports.
- Copy, file, and update paper and electronic documents.
- Collect information and perform data entry.
- Set up and configure conference rooms to accommodate different meetings,
- Assist with inventory of incoming supplies.
- Stock supply cabinets and rooms and maintain supply inventories.
- General office clerks have responsibilities that often change daily with the current needs of the employer.
- Utilize MS Office products, to include Project and all other applications provided upon contract award.
- Direct operational support to the CS OA-wide electronic and non-electronic Federal records management in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) records management best practices such as creating and maintaining OA business information; records scheduling; records schedule implementation planning and execution; records asset and risk management; and OA Records Management Program Development.

Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance; the investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check.
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 10 years of experience providing expertise in the responsibilities listed above.
- Have the ability to use photocopiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
- Have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, set up desks and file cabinets.
- Have the ability to change consumables in printers and copiers.
- Have the ability to use a dolly and push a cart with over 100 pounds of equipment on it.
- Ability to recommend improvements to current and future team operations and processes.
- Ability to research, gather, and synthesize data.
- Ability to present conclusions and recommendations to management.
- Ability to plan / organize work.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to perform in a hybrid office environment at the discretion of the client (working on-site as requested while maintaining the equipment necessary/provided for remote work).

Salary Range: $65,000-80,000 commensurate with experience, education, etc.
