Senior Network Engineer

We are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in managing Cisco network devices and proficiency in Azure networking. As a key member of our IT team, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our network infrastructure, emphasizing command-line expertise on Cisco devices, and ensuring robust connectivity and security across Cisco and Azure platforms.

Requirements

Network Architecture and Design:

• Develop and implement comprehensive network architecture plans, with a strong focus on Cisco command-line configurations, considering both on-premises Cisco infrastructure and Azure cloud services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable, resilient, and high-performance network solutions.

Cisco Command-Line Interface (CLI) Management:

• Lead the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices using command-line interfaces.
• Develop and implement best practices for Cisco CLI scripting to automate repetitive tasks and streamline network management.

Azure Networking:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, Azure Firewall, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
• Implement hybrid network solutions, seamlessly integrating on-premises networks with Azure resources while leveraging command-line tools for efficient management.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain network security measures using Cisco CLI and Azure-native security features, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.

Collaboration and Troubleshooting:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network issues, providing technical guidance with an emphasis on Cisco CLI troubleshooting.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts, utilizing advanced network diagnostic tools and Cisco CLI expertise to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Performance Optimization:

• Proactively identify opportunities for performance optimization, scalability, and reliability in both Cisco and Azure environments.
• Implement solutions to enhance overall network efficiency, leveraging Cisco CLI capabilities for advanced configurations.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network architectures, configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures, with a focus on Cisco CLI configurations.
• Develop and update network diagrams and documentation to reflect the latest changes and improvements.

Training and Mentoring:

• Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, emphasizing Cisco CLI proficiency and scripting for network automation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance the team's CLI capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiance in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a Senior Network Engineer, with a focus on Cisco networking technologies and expertise in Cisco CLI.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure networking components and services.
• Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE) are highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
