As a Program Analyst with Ripple Effect, you will support cutting-edge biomedical and health research at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). You will be part of a collaborative, high-performing technical team and will work closely with ARPA-H PMs to develop and manage innovative research to deliver high-impact health solutions.
ARPA-H funds innovative, cross-disciplinary, high-impact research aimed to solve the most challenging health problems, from microscopic to societal healthcare issues. Similarly, we are looking for candidates with technical expertise spanning a variety of disciplines – everything from microbiology to bioinformatics, and computer science to public health. Examples of ARPA-H research areas may include medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health domains, software development and management, electronic health records and cybersecurity, efficient manufacturing processes and distribution logistics, behavioral health, nutrition, wearable devices, and total population health, to name a few.

- Salary Range: $87,000-120,000 per year
Responsibilities
As a Program Analyst supporting ARPA-H, you will assist and advise ARPA-H Program Managers on any and all technical, programmatic, and administrative tasks that further their research and development programs. Specific duties may include:
- Review state of the science, emerging industry trends, and current R&D landscape to identify critical market, research, and healthcare gaps that align with the ARPA-H mission.
- Help draft solicitation materials.
- Review technical abstracts, white papers, and proposals and prepare summaries and critiques.
- Monitor and track project performance toward established metrics.
- Identify program risks and help develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop, organize, forecast, and maintain financial budgets and track financial milestones.
- Leverage networks to identify relevant program stakeholders. Organize meetings and collaborate with diverse groups to further ARPA-H programs.
- Develop briefings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in a biomedical, health, science, or engineering-related field
- 8 years of related experience, including at least 4 years of research and development experience
Basic Requirements
- Computer literacy with experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Project, and Outlook; including the ability to prepare and maintain complex spreadsheets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for briefings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills; demonstrated capacity for detailed organization and synthesis of abstract and disparate information.
- Highly efficient and extremely detail oriented.
- Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and know when to seek assistance.

Skills That Set You Apart
- PhD in a biomedical, health, science, or engineering-related field
- Experience in research and development or healthcare environment
- Experience working with an ARPA
- Experience with financial budgets and tracking financial milestones
- Understanding of HHS policies and regulations
