We are seeking a talented Political Fundraising Copywriter to join our team for the 2024 political cycle. This role involves writing compelling email fundraising content, SMS and MMS messages, and ad copy that motivates supporters to take action. The ideal candidate will have a knack for persuasive writing and a deep understanding of political fundraising strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write engaging and persuasive email fundraising content that inspires donations and support.
- Craft concise and impactful SMS and MMS messages to mobilize and engage supporters.
- Develop ad copy for digital campaigns, including social media, display ads, and search ads.
- Collaborate with the fundraising and creative teams to develop and refine campaign messaging.
- Ensure all copy aligns with the campaign’s goals and resonates with the target audience.
- Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in political fundraising and digital communications.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in political fundraising or a related field.
- Proven ability to write persuasive and compelling fundraising content.
- Strong understanding of email marketing, SMS, and digital advertising strategies.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with political campaigns and the political landscape is a plus.

*This is a contracted position for the 2024 political cycle, ending on November 8th, 2024, with the option for extension based on performance and campaign needs. The position is eligible for inclusion in our bargaining unit and is salaried with competitive benefits and paid time off.*
The negotiated salary band for this position is $63-$68k annually. We pride ourselves on offering some of the best benefits in the industry, including but not limited to:
