Relman Colfax PLLC is a renowned national civil rights law firm dedicated to combating discrimination and promoting equity across various sectors including housing, education, and employment. Our litigation practice focuses on representing individuals and classes who have faced discrimination based on race, national origin, gender, and other protected categories. In addition to advocacy, we offer legal counsel to progressive organizations aiming to lead in civil rights compliance and conduct internal investigations on regulatory matters. The firm is now seeking a committed and innovative Placement Strategist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in evaluating and implementing strategic placements for our clients, ensuring they receive comprehensive support in navigating the complexities of civil rights compliance and equity issues. The ideal candidate will be someone with an understanding of civil rights legislation, a passion for advocating for marginalized communities, and the skills to facilitate effective placement strategies that align with our mission of promoting inclusion and equity in all facets of society. As a Placement Strategist at Relman Colfax, you will work closely with attorneys and clients to develop initiatives that bolster civil rights and compliance in various sectors, ultimately making a significant impact in the fight against discrimination.


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and develop placement strategies that enhance client engagement and compliance with civil rights standards.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to identify client needs and customize placement solutions that align with our firm's objectives.
  • Research and analyze best practices in civil rights enforcement and recommend innovative approaches to clients.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for clients on civil rights-related topics and compliance strategies.
  • Monitor legislative changes and public policy issues affecting civil rights to inform strategic placements.
  • Assist in the development and execution of outreach initiatives to further engage with communities affected by discrimination.
  • Prepare reports and presentations detailing placement outcomes and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as law, social sciences, or public policy.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic planning, placement, or related roles in civil rights or social justice.
  • Strong understanding of civil rights laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in research and data analysis to support policy recommendations.
  • Commitment to social justice and civil rights advocacy.
