Full Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant, must hold an active DC dental assistant license, to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, assisting our orthodontists in providing high-quality orthodontic treatments to our patients. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working specifically in orthodontics.
Responsibilities:
- Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and orthodontic procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Take diagnostic records, including x-rays, intraoral scans, and photos
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care for their orthodontic appliances
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Perform sterilization and infection control procedures as per guidelines
- Collaborate with the orthodontic team to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction
Requirements
Requirements:
- Licensed Dental Assistant with Active DC license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in orthodontics
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service
- Team player, patient first attitude
Desired Experience, but not required:
- Experience with Dolphin and Cloud 9 a plus
- Experience with clear aligners/scanning
- Experience with Light Force bracket system preferred
