Full Job Description
We are seeking an Operations & Compliance Manager to oversee all compliance, financial management and operations for the Government Relations (GR) team, while advancing the initiatives meant to further our clients’ causes.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Washington DC office.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Operations
- Run point on financial management (e.g., invoicing, payments, revenue projections, new business tracking) for GR team; working closely with CFO, COO, and Finance.
- Oversee expense reporting for senior-level GR staff.
- Maintain familiarity with and knowledge of issues important to GR clients, GR team members, as well as issues important to Avoq overall.
- Manage contracts and compliance for GR clients.
- Liaise with outside counsel(s) to ensure strict adherence to ethical standards, compliance with laws and regulations and other required filings.
- Provide routine updates, as requested/required to senior leadership on team budget, staffing – including utilization and performance – status of new business opportunities, etc.
- Advise on or support office operations, all-staff events, and other cross-office/cross-team functions, in conjunction with other operations colleagues within the firm
Marketing, Client/Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development
- Manage philanthropic contributions, client gifts and events.
- Draft and manage correspondence and emails for GRs Partners as needed.
Requirements
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- 4-6 years of administrative/executive support/operations management experience, preferably including experience on the Hill, Lobbying or a government affairs setting
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with limited supervision, while keeping a professional demeanor
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A positive, professional and “can-do” attitude, as well as being flexible and adaptive to a changing environment

The salary range for this role is $78,000 - $110,000
