Modeling and Simulation Engineering Expert

We have an opening for a full-time, Modeling and Simulation Engineering, Expert to join our talented, dynamic team in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The Modeling and Simulation Engineering, Expert will be responsible for developing and overseeing complex modeling and simulation events to support system testing, risk analysis, and solution engineering.

In this role, the Modeling and Simulation Engineering, Expert will...

• Identify modeling and simulation approaches that best meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to define model requirements, simulation goals, and variables.
• Develop and refine models based on test results and stakeholder feedback.
• Oversee complex modeling and simulation events, ensuring accuracy and relevance of scenarios.
• Present and explain simulation results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to travel up to 25% within the continental United States.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in modeling and simulation within a healthcare IT or similar environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing complex multi-system simulations.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present results and analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with VA systems and data domains is a plus.
