We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to support our Intelligence customer in the DC area. The customer and the team value creative ideas and solutions to enhance the software we are developing. You'll work with us in our Agile development process, attend the usual Agile Ceremonies, and be an active part in planning and executing the work. The majority of the time you'll be working from home, but on occasion will be needed to come onsite (Pentagon, or Reston) with the customer to facilitate with product launch, work with stakeholders, conduct testing, etc. We are a team of 8 who work well together, collaborate effectively, and are always looking to learn new skills and tricks of the trade.
Location: Candidate needs to be within commuting distance to Washington, D.C., DIA HQ location, Reston, and ITC HQ (Vienna, VA)
Hybrid: Work from home and onsite. Need to be flexible, and able to surge when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Building and improving a complex service driven program to take the next step from project to program of record.
- Working in collaboration with the team to develop solutions, write code, and mentor/coach junior developers on the team.
- Review and merge code; peer review code with team members as needed.
- Support the SDLC
- Designing custom ETL processes for multiple data feeds in multiple formats to include file drop, REST feeds, messaging feeds, and direct database ingest.
- Reducing tech debt to better streamline development work and releases.
- Facilitate the ATO process (Authority to operate)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (IT related) with 3+ years of relevant experience OR: Master's degree (related field) and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Full Stack Development skills, able to lead and delegate to team, but also able to solve problems (front and back-end experience)
- Proven ability to design, implement and build service architectures using tools like Postgres, Elastic Search, Node, and React/Material UI.
- Experience with multiple languages to include Java/Spring Boot, Python, and JavaScript.
- Ability to assist in the design of an overarching architecture, clearly set an architectural vision and deliver on it.
- Docker Microservice based architecture using Python (FastApi), Node, Java Spring Boot, etc.
- Proficient with Git, Docker, and Linux
- High proficiency in relational databases including Postgres, to include schema design, data definition, and advanced queries.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using JSON in a REST architecture. Familiarity with GraphQL for future development a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with the ability to present technical data and approaches to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Several years' experience in React or Python.
- Familiarity with automated testing solutions such as Cypress.
- 8570/Security+ certification is a plus.
- Experience with Kubernetes for future development a plus.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must have active Top Secret Clearance. Willing and able to be submitted for SCI and CI polygraph.
