Full Job Description
The Regional Airline Association (RAA) is seeking a organized and engaging Membership, Operations, and Events Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Membership, Operations, and Events Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the association's membership program, overseeing day-to-day operational activities including basic financial invoicing and reporting, and planning and executing a variety of events. Responsibilities include:
The Membership, Operations, and Events Manager will play a key role in managing the association's membership programs and coordinating various operational and event-related activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain associate members
- Managing the membership database, processing applications, updating member information, and ensuring data accuracy
- Responding to member inquiries and providing exceptional customer service
- Maintaining the online member directory, processing regular and associate member dues invoices and applying payments
- Working with outside accountants to provide standard association bookkeeping responsibilities such as lockbox monitoring, maintaining monthly deposit schedules and allocating revenues and invoices to proper programs
- Planning and executing association events, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and social gatherings
- Coordinating event logistics, such as venue selection, contract negotiation, catering, audiovisual setup, and attendee registration
- Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful event execution
- Preparing event budgets, tracking expenses, and evaluating event success
- Overseeing the Association's scholarship foundation awards and donor solicitations
- Assisting with the development and execution of marketing and communication strategies to promote association events and membership benefits
- Providing project management for the Association's Annual Report
- Helping to monitor and maintaining association websites and social media accounts, ensuring up-to-date and engaging content
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in membership management, operations, and event planning
- Strong project management and organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to write with a professional and engaging tone
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong relationships with members, associate members, and internal teams
- Proven problem solver, able to make sound decisions quickly
- Proficiency in using membership management software and event management platforms
- Experience with budgeting and financial management support
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with website content management systems and social media platforms
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexible and adaptable, with a positive and proactive attitude
- Passionate about providing exceptional service to association members
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred
- The position is hybrid, with at least three in-office days each week; successful candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Salary range: USD $80,000 - $105,000 annually with discretionary bonus opportunity. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skillset, experience, qualifications and other job-related factors.
