Background: Following national assessments in 2022, VillageReach and partners have been implementing customized programs in 15 countries at risk for polio outbreak, aiming to improve the speed and quality of acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) and environmental surveillance (ES) sample transportation from communities or health facilities to testing laboratories. The Consultant will work closely with the VillageReach Global Monitoring and Evaluation team as well as Monitoring and Evaluation focal points in each project country to report on key project outputs and outcomes and to evaluate project progress to inform plans for transition to government at the project’s end.  

Scope of Work:

• Lead analysis of key informant interviews with in-country stakeholders to document project successes and challenges and inform recommendations for transition, as well as report writing
• Refine and lead the process for consolidation of outcome reporting at the global level, including data visualization to inform decision-making and reporting to donor
• Support the management of AFP & ES sample transport databases in key geographies (DRC, Mozambique, Niger, Guinea, Chad, and Angola, as well as limited support for project activities in Malawi and Nigeria) to report monthly on project outcomes and identify data trends
• Conduct ad hoc secondary data analyses of AFP & ES sample transport databases, as requested

Deliverables:

• Evaluation Report due July 26, 2024
• Documented SOP for updated Outcome reporting and visualization process due August 14, 2024
• Updated monthly AFP & ES databases August 21, September 18, October 23, November 20 and  December 18,2024.
