NCG Associates is a leading healthcare staffing agency specializing in providing exceptional nursing professionals to healthcare facilities. We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for geriatrics to join our team. As an LPN specializing in geriatrics at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of elderly patients and contribute to their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate and high-quality nursing care to geriatric patients
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the registered nurse or physician
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Accurately document patient information and maintain organized medical records
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and personalized care
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to elderly patients
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients
  • Follow infection control protocols and other safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in geriatric nursing
  • Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly patients
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and assist patients
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Benefits

Location: Vermont

Pay Rate: $1,500 - $1,575 weekly depending on experience

Class/Area: LPN / Geri

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Length of Assignment: 8 weeks

Hours per Week: 37.5

Shift and Time: Flexible

Schedule Details: Full Time

Weekend Rotation: every other

On-call Requirements: none

Holidays Requirements: as scheduled

Floating Requirements: must float to similar units

Experience Required: 1 year in last 18 months

Experience Preferred: PCC charting

License Required: VT State license

Certificates Required: BLS

Sign on Bonus: on second pay check
