Full Job Description
Design and develop custom Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and RF systems from concept through production
Implement custom waveforms for secure, high-performance communication systems
Design and test mmWave RF circuits and systems, including antenna and beamforming technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and product development engineers, to create
integrated solutions
Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for RF systems
Conduct detailed performance analysis and validation of RF and embedded systems
Develop and debug firmware and software for embedded systems, ensuring optimal interaction with RF hardware
Lead the integration of 5G and mmWave technologies into innovative products
Conduct root cause analysis and provide solutions for RF system issues
Write detailed documentation for designs, tests, and implementation processes
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be a US Citizen
Proficient in RF design, including custom waveform development and mmWave circuits
Deep knowledge of beamforming principles and implementation
Strong experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR) design and operation
Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems
Familiarity with signal processing algorithms and techniques
Strong understanding of 5G systems, including mmWave spectrum and RF front-end architecture
Experience with FPGA and hardware design using tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus II, and related platforms
Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize embedded systems with real-time operating systems
Familiarity with hardware interfaces, IP protocols, and modern OS coding techniques
Education and Technical Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
5+ years of professional experience in RF design, embedded systems, and SDR development
Hands-on experience with mmWave technologies and beamforming
Expertise in FPGA programming using VHDL/Verilog and related frameworks
Experience with tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar for signal processing and analysis
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with neuromorphic processors and advanced computational frameworks
Knowledge of Linux/Yocto/Petalinux environments
Experience with TCP/IP, wireless protocols (802.11, 802.3), and point-to-point wireless systems
Knowledge of secure communication protocols and data encryption
