Full Job Description

Peregrine Advisors is seeking a highly qualified Data Governance Lead Project Manager with specialized experience in immigration domain data governance and editorial quality control to join our team. This role involves overseeing project management activities, developing data governance and sharing standards, and facilitating effective data usage and sharing across the organization and the federal government. The Project Manager will play a critical role in managing project plans, facilitating working group sessions, and ensuring compliance with data governance standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accountability: Direct accountability for the technical correctness, timeliness, and quality of all deliverables.
  • Contract Management: Manage the contract requirements for Peregrine Advisors, ensuring all obligations are met.
  • Supervision: Supervise and coordinate all work performed by the contract staff.
  • Client Interface: Interface with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) regarding work progress and task scheduling.
  • Quality Control/Editorial: Edit and copyedit products and reports, ensuring technical correctness, and quality.
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans in consultation with federal staff, ensure timeliness of delivery.
  • Facilitation and Coordination: Facilitate initial and follow-up working group sessions related to data governance and data sharing policies, prepare and coordinate meeting materials, including correspondence, meeting invites, and session minutes.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication between clients, team members, and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports and project metrics to both clients and upper management.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification: PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience:  At least five years of experience in managing business, DHS domains, metadata, and technology programs to include Collibra and Power Platform.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Collibra and Power Platform.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and willing and able to apply for and hold a Public Trust position.

Additional Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Leadership: Lead data-intensive projects to facilitate more effective data usage and meet client requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Product Owner to address high-level client requirements and operational needs.
  • Project Scoping: Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Coordination: Coordinate and manage project resources, including internal teams and third-party contractors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement efforts, monitor ongoing results, and conduct benchmarking activities.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues to eliminate or mitigate risks that may impact the success of the project.
