In partnership with Canva for Education, Wasserman Next Gen is seeking to hire a Canva Learning Consultant in the greater D.C. area for a full-time, project-based, contractor role – raising awareness, driving usage, and providing an amazing Canva experience for educators and district staff through December 2024.
The program will position hired Canva Learning Consultants as dedicated professional development resources for educators and academic decision-makers at select K-12 school districts. The Canva Learning Consultants will drive Canva adoption and usage and scale on-going connection with educators to institution leadership stakeholders. The ideal candidate will embrace their region's educational community and become an engaged contributor and supporter.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the various components and benefits of Canva for Education – training will be provided
- Identify and foster relationships with decision makers and educators at schools and districts in your region to drive training opportunities on Canva for Education
- Deliver hands-on, in-person and virtual, experiences and informational presentations/training on Canva in Education for educators and stakeholders at pre-identified schools and districts
- Act as a strategic professional development representative for select schools and districts and at virtual events and conferences
- Raise awareness, desire, and usage for Canva for Education
- Collaborate and strategize with Canva regional sales and success teams to identify and influence key districts for outreach and training
- Develop and execute district and institution-specific training schedules
- Enhance Canva’s visibility, accessibility, and impact at key regional and national education technology conferences and conventions
- Utilize personal social media profiles to evangelize Canva for Education through your own voice while adhering to brand and program guidelines
- Report weekly to Wasserman Next Gen management team and Canva for Education sales and success teams
Requirements
- Must live in the greater D.C. area
- Background or experience in design, education, and/or educator training required
- A genuine interest and desire to improve education through access to technology
- Strong presentation skills. Previous public speaking experience preferred
- High level of comfort with technology and software. Experience with Canva required
- A passionate self-starter that is driven to not only meet, but over deliver on goals
- Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills
- Personable, team player
- Previous marketing/sales experience is a plus
- Personal cell phone required
- Ability to travel (approximately 1x per month)
Benefits
Job Type & Compensation
- Full time position, contractor role (e.g. LLC), requiring approximately 40-hours a week
- Weekly pay rate based on experience and qualifications
