IT Concepts Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Lead in support of our Defense Intelligence client in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will bring experience in multiple technologies and methodologies as well as strong process transformation skills to enhance the team's capabilities. Relevant experience for this role may include any or all the following: data science (AI/ML), advanced data analytics, software development, cloud engineering, project management, management consulting, and technology research.
We are looking for a flexible lead that has led implementation of AI/ML solutions for the federal government, is comfortable solutioning with open source and multiple vendor data science tools. This role requires you to be familiar with Agile/Scaled Agile development methodologies and an AI framework called Analytics Solutions Unified Method for Data Mining (ASUM-DM). A successful candidate will be experienced leading many small projects at once. We prefer candidates that have the confidence to tackle new technologies and stretch their competencies to areas of development that they may not have encountered before. The AI ML lead will engage with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and aspirations related to AI and data science.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and technical teams to formulate AI strategies that align with business goals, industry best practices, and are technically feasible in the client's technical environment.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of client requirements, dependencies, and constraints, translating them into actionable initiatives and monitor the progress of AI projects, ensuring alignment with established strategies and adjusting plans as needed.
- Evaluate potential risks associated with AI implementation, considering ethical, legal, and technical aspects, develop risk mitigation strategies, and communicate them effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct research for innovative solutions that can benefit clients and provide insights and recommendations on AI adoption, integration, and optimization for enhanced business outcomes.
- Act as a key communicator between technical teams and clients, ensuring a shared understanding of goals and expectations and articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Years of experience: 10 years of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Data Science
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics).
- At least 5 years of experience developing in languages commonly used for data analysis such as Python, R, Julia, or SAS.
- At least 5 years of experience developing reinforcement learning systems utilizing at least one of the following methodologies. Finite Markov Decision Processes, Support Vector Machines, Q-Learning, Stochastic Finite State Machines, MCTS or other hybrid Deep Reinforcement Learning processes.
- Experience in theoretical and practical background in statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling, and/or optimization.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, Redis, Postgres, and MongoDB, working with large-scale data sets, and developing REST/SOAP APIs and messaging protocols and formats.
- Experience producing data visualizations using open-source tools and Tableau for a variety of different audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills (using the MS Office Suite of productivity tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) along with the ability to present technical data and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in the Intelligence Community and/or DoD developing data models for the military.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must have active TS/SCI clearance, and willing/able to get CI Polygraph
