Patient Service Representative

Silverhill Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the Hospital & Health Care industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Service Representative at Silverhill Hospital, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure a positive and seamless experience for all who visit our facility.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
• Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for healthcare providers
• Verify patient information and insurance coverage
• Collect and update patient demographic data
• Assist with patient registration and check-in process
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate patient care
• Handle and resolve patient complaints or concerns
• Manage and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
• Process patient payments and provide accurate billing information
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Patient Service Representative or in a similar customer service role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and empathetic attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration or customer service is a plus
