Position Overview:

The Director of Sales is responsible for sustaining and growing ICAST’s customer portfolio and achieving our contractual utility goals. This includes managing sales to our existing customer base and overseeing the strategic development of new relationships and sales channels. The primary goal of this position is to deliver results through managing, mentoring, and coaching the sales team.  The Director of Sales is also responsible for defining and executing brand building and business development strategies within the organization and is accountable for all assigned sales activities and sales personnel working toward the achievement of related sales budget, goals, and objectives within the US.  The position has significant and very broad revenue and/or geographical territory accountability, with several direct reports.

Requirements

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Strong solutions-based sales experience
  • 5-8 years leading successful and high achieving sales teams
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Possess a demonstrated commitment to sustainability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in energy efficiency
  • Account Management sales experience
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with M365 Suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

Location: Remote in the U.S.A.

Travel: May require up to 50% travel domestically

Reports to:  Chief Operations Officer

Skill Level: Advanced

Education: Bachelor's of Business Administration or related field

Areas of Expertise: Sales, B2B Sales, Leadership

Compensation: $120k/yr + Bonus Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive overall sales strategy to develop and close new business.
  • Coach direct reports regarding key account strategies to drive closure.
  • Plan and execute against sales quotas and department goals.
  • Manage revenue and budgets to targets and plans.
  • Build a high-achieving sales team through hiring, training, inspiring, and coaching.
  • Manage the sales teams to deliver results.
  • Ensures team maintains accurate account data in the active CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Responsible for hiring, terminating, performance-based compensation plans and reviews, coaching, developing, training, motivating, attracting and retaining talent, and develops high potential sales personnel to aid in the attainment of company goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a personal presence and be visible to partners, clients, and all employees.
  • Report on sales activity and forecast with the leadership team.
  • Implement and execute an indirect go-to-market program aligned with our growth objectives.  Generate pipeline and sales through joint account planning and prospecting with new clients.  Plan and lead collaborate marketing and field activities.
  • Establish strong relationships and partnerships across departments and collaborate on solutions that remove roadblocks to sales execution and growing revenue.
  • Refine and continuously improve our sales approach, benchmarks and objectives to support high-performance standards, pipeline metrics, and sales velocity.  Use data to measure, drive, and improve solution sales processes.
  • Other duties as assigned by President and direct manager.
