General Summary
As Cash Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for day-to-day cash posting, posting account receivable related transactions, and researching incoming payments that tie to the transactions in the bank accounts.

You will sit directly with the Accounting team, work in close collaboration with Accounting, Sales and Customer Service, and report to the Manager of Accounting.
Core Functions
- Apply cash remittances, lockbox deposits, credit cards, ACH / wires, and other types of payments accurately and in a timely manner, and match to incoming cash in the bank
- Research, notify, and initiate resolution of unapplied cash (unknown customer payment) items by consulting with customers and other departments
- Maintain unapplied AR cash postings files and customer account activity
- Apply credit memos, AR adjustments, and write-offs
- Run credit card information, and report in AS400 on a daily basis
- Deposit checks into the bank and run credit card transactions in the POS system
- Assist with special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and exceed goals in medium to high-pressure situations.
- Ability to collaborate with other functional areas necessary to maintain productivity and promote achievement in department and company objectives.
- A team player with a positive attitude who has a high attention to detail.
- Comfortability working well independently with little supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels across the organization.
Desired Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience working in an Accounts Receivable or related financial role.
- Experience with AS400 software

Compensation
Peaksware is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly range for this role in Colorado is $16.14 - $26.90. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
This role is eligible for variable compensation, including bonus.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
