Sales Administrator
Position Overview
The primary role of this position is to help drive growth through the development and expansion of customer relationships. Following Development Group’s organizational goals, you will work directly with the Account Managers (AM) and other sales staff to support sales activity. You will also help ensure communication is flowing between customers and other critical stakeholders. In this role, you will work in close partnership with Development Group’s sales and account teams to represent Development Group’s core values and company goals. This Non-Exempt position reports to the Sales Manager with additional direction from assigned AM(s).
Salary Range
Grade 9: $60,400-70,500
Essential Position Functions

- Assemble proposal packages including quotes, SoW, drawings(s), MSA, stocking letter, finance documents, E-Rate paperwork.
- Establish and/or update customer credit line.
- Process customer purchase orders.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all sales materials (quotes, proposals, RFP responses, financing, etc.) provided to customers.
Other Responsibilities
- Register sales opportunities with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
- Assist Account Mangers with creating and managing Engineer Task Request (ETR) and supply necessary documentation.
- Assist Account Managers with structuring the economics of opportunity to create maximum profit for the company by taking advantage of available OEM promotion(s) and adhering to company policies regarding discounting.
- Assist Account Manager with formal presentation of proposed solution and supporting documents (e.g. proposal, SoW, financing, etc.).
- Negotiate for and receive purchase documents incl. customer PO, stocking letter, MSA, lease agreement, etc.
- Regularly communicate sales opportunity progression to OEM sales representative.
- Accurately record all sales activities in Insight deal module daily; aggressively manage sales opportunities to close while using company resources responsibly and in accordance with company policy.
Other:
- Keep personal workspace clean and organized.
- Understand overall company goals, align priorities and activities to reflect and support those goals.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Qualifications:
- 1+ Year of previous Sales Administrator experience preferred.
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· There are no minimum educational requirements to be a Sales Administrator, however a High School Diploma is preferred.
Skills:
· Must have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate positive outcomes for customers and Development Group in conflict situations.
- Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision so strong initiative is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace which is English.
- Must be organized and analytical with attention to detail and accuracy of work product; able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- Proficient with computer systems such as word processing, email, usage of the internet, etc.
Abilities:
- Ability to get things done; able to exercise personal influence, resolve conflict, and bring about required behaviors.
- Ability to recognize own capabilities and take initiative to continually improve; ability to seek out feedback on self.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks (reports, expense reports, etc.).
- Must maintain professional demeanor in any given situation.
Physical Demands in an Office Environment
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.

- Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
