Position Overview: As the Lead Predictive Modeler, you'll play a pivotal role in leading our predictive analytics initiatives and driving the development of advanced modeling solutions. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and leadership to a team of predictive modelers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  2. Project Management: Lead end-to-end predictive analytics projects, from problem formulation and data exploration to model development, deployment, and validation, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  3. Model Development: Lead the development of predictive models using advanced statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data mining methods to forecast future outcomes and identify trends and patterns in data.
  4. Data Analysis: Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights, identify relevant variables, and prepare data for modeling, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  5. Feature Engineering: Lead efforts to engineer features and variables from raw data to improve model performance and predictive accuracy, using domain knowledge and statistical techniques.
  6. Model Evaluation: Lead model evaluation efforts using appropriate metrics and validation techniques, and iterate on model development to improve predictive accuracy and generalization.
  7. Model Deployment: Lead efforts to deploy predictive models into production environments, collaborating with software engineering teams to integrate models into business applications and processes.
  8. Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate model results, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  9. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers, to understand requirements and deliver predictive analytics solutions that meet business needs.
  10. Documentation: Document model development processes, methodologies, and findings in clear and concise reports, ensuring transparency and reproducibility of results.
  11. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in predictive modeling and data analytics, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Mentorship: Mentor and coach junior modelers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for skill development and career growth, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, or data science, with a focus on developing and implementing predictive models to solve real-world problems.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading predictive analytics teams and delivering impactful solutions.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques, with experience in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, and extract actionable insights.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
