CNC Operator / CNC Machinist

Talent One Recruitment is seeking a CNC Operator / CNC Machinist for a manufacturing company in Orange County- Tustin, Santa Ana area.

Job Type: Full-Time (Direct-Hire)

Schedule: 2nd Shift (5:00 PM - 1:30 AM)

Pay Range: $20/hr. - $30/hr. D.O.E

Responsibilities:

Will Set up and operate 5-axis CNC Mill independently

Adhere to engineering plans, specifically tailored for CNC machining/ operating.

Inspect machined parts to maintain quality standards, employing CNC-specific inspection methodologies.

Perform Manual Data Input (MDIs) when necessary for optimization.

Collaborate with Engineering, Programming, and Quality Inspection teams for CNC process refinement

Fulfil any additional duties as related to CNC operations

Maintain clear and effective communication with the opposite shift through logbooks, verbal updates, and shift handovers, ensuring seamless CNC production continuity.

Troubleshoot quality issues using CNC-specific troubleshooting methods

Job Requirements:

2+ years of experience operating full 5-Axis CNC mills, demonstrating proficiency in CNC operations

Proficiency in handling Fanuc 15MB and 30i controls (Siemens 840D knowledge is a plus) or Heidenhain controls, essential for effective CNC operation.

Able to set up machine independently based on CNC blueprint interpretation

Experience machining Invar, Aluminium, Composite, and Graphite materials using CNC

Proficiency in using manual inspection equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, and Bore Gages, for quality control.

Capability to perform Manual Data Input (MDI) for hole patterns and radii optimization within CNC processes.

Thorough understanding of machining various materials, including spindle speed calculations, machining feed rates, and chip load, tailored for CNC applications.

Familiarity with GD&T, shop mathematics (including trigonometry), and blueprint reading, with a focus on CNC-specific geometric tolerancing and CNC-related mathematical principles.
