Full Job Description

Summary

Greenfly is core infrastructure – the software backbone of the short-form content revolution for our partners.  We power – at the ground level – sourcing, collecting, organizing, and internally distributing short-form content. At scale.

In this critical Chief of Staff role, you will report directly to the CEO, helping to define top-level business priorities & goals, develop and execute partnership strategies, drive planning processes, help generate operational efficiencies, and collaborate on key company initiatives.  At Greenfly, it’s about the outcome, but it’s also about how we get there that will drive our success.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, curious, and fast learner who is able to combine meticulous planning & organization, analytical rigor, operating excellence, and a sophisticated, but empathetic interpersonal style. A great sense of humor helps too. You have a demonstrated ability to develop and lead projects and initiatives, establish credibility with internal and external senior stakeholders, and you are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to tackle a variety of challenges (and you’re happy leaving them rolled up).

Role

Work as the right-hand to the CEO, collaborating directly with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on critical business initiatives – with a particular focus on two areas: internal operational excellence and a strong external partnership ecosystem.

  • Drive execution of multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating across all functions (Technology, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, etc.) to remove roadblocks and develop creative solutions to ensure project success.
  • Provide analytical support and project management for a variety of organizational initiatives, including but not limited to growth initiatives, operational efficiencies, partnership strategies, executive meetings/offsites, and investor relations.
  • Help transform CEO and ELT vision and strategic priorities into overall business strategy, strategic partnership priorities, and internal operating models.
  • Develop partnership ecosystem by developing and deepening strategic relationships; own contractual and operational execution of key partnerships.
  • Work with ELT to develop cascading company and department goals and own their measurement and reporting.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analyses to understand and leverage market trends.
  • Own key operational rhythms/processes (weekly leadership meetings, All Hands, OKR reviews, team offsites, and board meetings), including preparing the agenda, facilitating the discussions, documenting notes/action items, and closing out follow-ups.
  • Act as a thought partner to business leadership, proactively identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in management consulting, business operations, or other highly strategic, analytical and operational roles within a rapidly growing company.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to drive ideas from concept to completion, to quickly overcome obstacles/roadblocks, and to multi-task and balance multiple projects/priorities
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, low-ego mindset with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to drive projects and solve problems
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with ROI mentality and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to model, create and communicate new business opportunities – internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills; able to synthesize complex details into accessible and precise insights
  • A proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of people and to influence cross-functionally without direct authority.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and interest; willing to roll-up sleeves and do whatever it takes to get to the best answer and win as a team
  • Professional, approachable style with highest degree of personal integrity
  • Excellent spreadsheet and presentation skills
  • Located in or near Los Angeles, CA
  • Nice to Haves:
    • Passion for media & technology, especially sports
    • Graduate-level degree
    • Product Management and/or Engineering experience

Benefits

  • Total Cash Compensation Range:  $150,000 - $190,000, depending on experience.
  • Stock Options
  • Flexible time-off and leave policies
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
