What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for recording financial transactions and preparing and reviewing financial documents. Key responsibilities:
- General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts ensuring all transactions are accounted for on a timely basis
- Journal Entries: Record assigned recurring journal entries, ensuring supporting documentation is prepared and maintained in accordance with current policies & procedures
- P&L Analysis: Perform monthly P&L analysis versus budget with the goal of improving company-wide access to data critical to decision making
- Technology Improvements: Assist in the implementation of technology tools to support improved business processes

What we need from you
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- 2+ years experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, with experience in accounting for a manufacturing company strongly preferred
- Proven ability to drive necessary process improvements through cross department collaboration
- Passionate commitment to demonstrating Firetrace values and behaviors
- Experience in fixed assets, credit and collections, general ledger management, or sales tax a plus.
- Docuphase or other document management system experience is helpful, but not required.
