Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire payroll process, including biweekly payroll preparation and distribution.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of employee hours, deductions, and adjustments.
- Manage payroll-related inquiries from employees promptly and professionally.
- Implement and maintain payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports and discrepancies on a timely basis.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure new hires and terminations are processed accurately in the payroll system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance issues.
- Proficient in payroll software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment.
