1 Resource Group is actively seeking skilled Gas Chemical Technicians to join their dynamic team in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will be integral in supporting the operation and maintenance of gas and chemical systems, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and safely.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor and control gas and chemical processes to ensure optimal operation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment related to chemical processing and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of chemical and gas systems to prevent failures.
- Collect and analyze samples to assess the quality and composition of chemical products.
- Document procedures, process changes, and system performance metrics.
- Participate in emergency response protocols and contribute to safety assessments.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements and optimization strategies.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
- Conduct training sessions for junior technicians on equipment handling and safety procedures.
Position Requirements
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in chemical technology or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Chemical Technician.
- Solid understanding of chemical processes and safety protocols.
- Proficient in using laboratory and chemical analysis equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and chemical specifications.
- Effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex repairs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on safety.
- Certifications such as Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) preferred.
Compensation:
A competitive hourly
$30.00-$32.00 hr DOE
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience as a Gas Chemical Technician.
- Strong knowledge of gas and chemical systems.
- Ability to conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples.
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Technical degree or related certification preferred.
