Job Summary:
The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to women throughout their lifespan, with a focus on reproductive health, prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. This role emphasizes a team-based approach to deliver comprehensive healthcare, including preventive services, education, and counseling.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide a wide range of healthcare services, including prenatal and postnatal care, gynecological exams, newborn care, and childbirth assistance.
- Perform routine tests to monitor the health of expectant mothers and their babies.
- Administer preventive health services, including immunizations and screenings.
- Educate and counsel patients on wellness, disease prevention, and reproductive health.
- Assist women in labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
- Document patient medical histories and develop detailed treatment plans.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, physicians, and healthcare professionals as needed to provide holistic care.
- Provide dietary, exercise, and sleep guidance to expectant mothers.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with regulatory standards and under appropriate supervision.
- Participate in health promotion activities, community outreach, and professional development initiatives.
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- Completion of a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Program in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
- Arizona State License (or eligibility to obtain).
