Assistant Kitchen Manager

Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint, a popular and thriving restaurant in town, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and cleanliness.

Your main responsibilities will include assisting in managing the kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation processes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to menu development, inventory management, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Kitchen Manager in supervising, training, and scheduling kitchen staff members
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of food by following standard recipes and cooking procedures
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and front-of-house team to coordinate food preparation and delivery
• Contribute to menu development and special promotions, ensuring variety and customer satisfaction
• Streamline kitchen processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Sous Chef, Line Cook, or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances

Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $18-$20
