Qualifications & Requirements:

• Skills commensurate with any services performed.
• Experience/ training in a related field and/or in volunteer activity.
• Comfortable with hospice philosophy, policy and practice.
• Good understanding of palliative care and support.
• Emotionally stable and willing to provide emotional support to the patient and family facing death, if patient volunteer.
• No personal experience with a spouse/parent/child death within the last year highly recommended
• Good written and oral communications skills.

The role of the volunteer youth NFL Flag football coach will be to instruct the basic skills to play flag football and motivate young athletes about the sport as a whole. Duties include, but are not limited to: planning and maintaining a practice plan, ensuring that there is inclusion of all players and maintain constant communication with your players parents. Prior flag football coaching experience is not required, but familiarity and comfort-ability working with children and learning about the sport prior to the start of the season is a must.

Prospective Schedule & Location:

Sundays at Brentwood Stadium, Schenley Park Oval, Montour, and Fridays at North Pittsburgh starting in September and ending November. Time range will vary with a two hour time commitment given each week. No midweek practices, as all activities take place on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays depending upon location.
