About the Role

We are looking for a Sports Camp Counselor to supervise young members and make sure they learn and have fun. What do Sports Camp Counselors do? The most important out of all Sports Camp Counselor duties is to ensure our junior members are safe at all times. You’ll be responsible for overseeing their activities and ensuring they don’t get lost or hurt. The job duties of a Sports Camp Counselor also include planning camp games, educating children and teenagers and setting up equipment.

JCC Greater Boston is seeking a seasonal Sports Camp Counselor for two weeks of the summer. As part of this dynamic team, the successful candidate will enhance each camper’s skills in a variety of sports. He/She/They will also work alongside other camp counselors to ensure a safe and fun environment for the campers. A Sports Camp Counselor doesn’t need to have strong skills in various sports. General knowledge in team sports games and coaching experience is preferred. He/She/They must like children and be willing to guide them through a carefully designed sports program, boosting confidence and skills. The Sports Camp season is June 17 – June 21 and August 19 – August 23, 40 hours per week.
