Router Operator

The primary responsibility of this candidate is to operate one of our MultiCam routers. The ideal candidate can quickly and accurately produce all types of signs and graphics on the routers, including cutting, routing, laminating, and hand-trimming various materials. Our router cuts mostly 4’x8’ sheets of acrylic and pvc with either painted or laminated materials on the surface. The router operator must work closely with the production team to ensure jobs are completed on time.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proficient ability to use the Multicam Router Software and the Adobe Creative Suite
• Above average math skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects and jobs at the same time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating router equipment

Piping Technology is seeking to hire a CNC router operator. The CNC Router Operator uses a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) router to cut various materials, like metal, plastic, and wood. Your duties as a CNC router operator are to arrange machine setup properly before beginning work, read blueprints as instructions for cutting, and operate the machine safely. Your responsibilities may also include attending safety and educational training meetings; cleaning, maintaining, and performing routine inspections on the router; and training apprentices how to use the equipment properly. A CNC router operator can work varied hours for lumber, sign, and other fabrication companies that work with cut materials.
