Maintenance Associate

The SMWA assists in carrying out the maintenance, merchandising, and warehouse functions of multi-stores and as well as assists in providing an amazing guest experience.

Essential Functions

• Be relentless about amazing our guests by maintaining the cleanliness of the interior and exterior showroom, warehouse areas, parking lot, restrooms, common areas, floors, windows, etc.
• Dusting, vacuuming, general maintenance, custodial, and trash removal tasks.
• Receive and process products from trucks and ensure all products are handled with the utmost care.
• Assembles furniture utilizing work instructions and various tools while adhering to quality and safety control guidelines.
• Inspect furniture in the store, assess damage and repair, restore, and provide finishing services.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety.

The Maintenance Associate employee maintains the general appearance and overall cleanliness of our work areas, warehouse, administrative areas, outside areas, and production equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Removes all refuse from offices, restrooms, break-rooms and the building daily ensuring trash cans are empty and clean.
• Collects recycling and waste around the warehouse to dispense in waste containers.  Use of garbage and corrugated compactors is required.
• Ensures that all aspects of restrooms are cleaned thoroughly and are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Sweeps, mops, and wet wash floors regularly.
• Vacuums, spot cleans, or shampoos carpets when assigned.
• Washes sinks and other plumbing fixtures and replaces disposables such as paper towels and soap.
• Cleans windows, and door frames.
