JOB DESCRIPTION:

This job entails reviewing and approving design work for improvements and upgrades to Distribution Systems from the substation to the customer. Experience with Distribution Design include reconductoring and underground cable replacements. Knowledge of Maximo. The job will include meeting with engineering firms, contractor specialists and contractors in the field. Responding to questions during construction of the upgrade to the system. This position is Hybrid and will require frequent trips to the field.

Location- team is open to surrounding areas but if the CW is needed in the field, they will be expected to commute on site.

Provide substation protection and control design, engineering, technical support, and oversight to a transmission substation engineering and design team for the purpose of delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality engineering and design services. Provide technical competency and direction on complex engineering and technical problems for projects including a wide range of utility substation projects, battery energy storage systems and solar collector substations. This role includes both direct billable client work (project work) and project management support for projects. The incumbent is expected to lead discipline work for projects, perform responsible charge engineering duties, and manage project schedules and budgets.
