Electrical Apprentices

This is a paid Electrical Apprenticeship program opportunity. The apprenticeship is composed of a combination of education through Blackhawk Technical College and hands on experience working in production with the Electricians at Trachte. The primary responsibilities of an Electrical Apprentice will be to learn and assist Electricians in the following duties:

• Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment.
• Gain knowledge of all types of electrical conduit so as to measure, cut, bend, tread, assemble and install.
• Build Familiarity with 120/240 single phase, 120/240V delta 3 phase, 120/208V 3 phase, and 277/480V 3 phase systems.
• Splice wires and/or terminate wires to lighting, power and control equipment.
• Connect power cables to equipment.
• Implement a working knowledge of the NEC.
