Electrical Technician Apprentice

Position Summary:

The Electrical Technician will be a four-year apprenticeship with a journeyperson license being granted upon completion. The program is competency based, with almost 400 competencies that must be met as well as over 250 hours of classroom training and instruction. Throughout the course of the program, each apprentice will work directly with a dedicated certified journeyperson for “one-on-one” hands-on training. These journeypersons will be responsible for signing off on the apprentice’s competency list.

What You Will Do:

•Works directly under assigned journeyperson 

•Learn assigned competencies of each level as determined by the journeyperson

•Successfully complete all RTI (Related Technicial Instruction) and classroom training elements of the Apprenticeship Program

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

•Minimum of 6 months employment at NF 

•Pass basic skills assessment 

•Completion of New Hire Orientation & Core Skills

•Completion of Core OJT

OSHA 10 certification is an asset
