The Director of Social Services under the direction of the Program Director is responsible for ongoing needs assessment, individual service plans, group and individual counseling, referral, and advocacy for participants of Liberty House, a supportive, transitional housing program for women and gender expansive people impacted by the criminal legal system.

The Director of Social Service’s caseload may include both singles and families. The Director or Social Services will offer specialized services focused on addressing the complex issues of trauma, mental illness, addiction, gender-based violence, family reunification, positive parenting and family interaction.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Along with the Director of Clinical Services (DCS), provides ongoing daily supervision to all staff providing Social Service and therapeutic functions. Monitors case load assignments, program assignments and implementation of department services. Compiles data for ongoing Quality Improvement activities within the department. Assists DCS by arranging coverage and monitors timecard and payroll approvals. Provides full range of therapeutic services for patients being treated for both psychiatric issues including crisis intervention, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and psycho-education.
