Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

This position plays a critical role on the leadership team. Develops and implements standards of care relevant to patient services and personnel. Supervises all nursing personnel who deliver direct patient services. Coordinates all patient services. Retains quality personnel through hiring, training and ongoing evaluation of program.

Morehouse General Hospital is searching for a Chief Nursing Officer. The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) assumes responsibility for nursing practice and patient care. The CNO provides expert professional assistance in nursing-related matters as well as expert assistance to all other areas assigned under their leadership.

Responsibilities include strategy development, high-level decision-making, financial forecasting, budget accountability, quality, safety, and staff and patient engagement. The CNO will also inspire and approve the models of nursing care delivery at Morehouse General.
