Job Summary: Under the direction of the Energy Conservation Operations Manager. The apprentice carpenter is responsible for performing all types of basic carpentry repairs and construction at the direction of more senior carpenters, inspectors, and supervisors.
Essential Functions :
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete weatherization tasks on low-income residences:
- Seal attic and basement bypasses.
- Weatherstrip doors and caulk air leaks.
- Utilize the blower door to focus infiltration work.
- Install proper attic ventilation.
- Insulate crawl spaces, kneewalls, wellrooms, and water pipes.
- Blow insulation into attics and sidewalls.
- Participate in Carpenters and Jointers training program:
