Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by ensuring all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are available
- Assist surgeons and surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain surgical dressings, drains, and suture materials
- Safely handle and dispose of contaminated sharps and biohazardous waste
