Travel Certified Surgical Tech

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to join our team. As a CST at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced surgical environment, assisting surgeons and ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by ensuring all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are available
• Assist surgeons and surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain surgical dressings, drains, and suture materials
• Safely handle and dispose of contaminated sharps and biohazardous waste
• Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Certified Surgical Tech (CST)
• High school diploma or equivalent; BLS Certification; Certificate or Associate’s Surgical Tech degree OR 3 years experience as a Surgical Technologist in lieu of the certificate or degree requirement
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy and sterile technique
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Benefits

Assignment Location: Kansas City, KS

Pay rate: $2000 @40hrs weekly

Class/Area: CST OR 

Desired Start Date: ASAP 

Length of Assignment: 14 weeks, first week is two days of ori 

Hours per Week: 40; 80 per pay period 

Shift and Time: 1030 to 2100 Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 

Weekend Rotation: No weekends 

On-call Requirements: Required based on unit needs 

Holidays Requirements: Holidays not required: In the event of a holiday falls on scheduled workday, subsequent pay period will be reduced by holiday pay hours. 

Floating Requirements: Will float to all ORs 

Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent; BLS Certification; Certificate or Associate’s Surgical Tech degree OR 3 years experience as a Surgical Technologist in lieu of the certificate or degree requirement.

Experience Preferred: 1.5 to 2 years travel experience 

Certificates Required: BLS
