Direct Counsel has partnered with a premier, nationally recognized law firm in their search for a mid-level associate to support it's Los Angeles and Orange County Offices’ Labor and Employment Practice Group. The firm's critical risk-management solutions allow clients to focus on managing their businesses while they manage the details of their employment problems. The firm's clients vary from closely-held companies to major financial institutions, restaurant chains, manufacturers and retailers, with offices and locations nationwide.

Requirements

• 3 plus years of solid experience with employment law litigation
• experience drafting handbooks and employment-related agreements is preferred
• licensed to practice law in CA
• strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials

Direct Counsel has partnered with a premier, nationally recognized law firm in their search for a mid-level associate (3-6 years of experience) to join its Labor and Employment group in Los Angeles, CA. The candidate would represent employers in all facets and at all stages of employment and labor relations, confronting some of the most challenging issues facing employers in the modern workplace.  A strong background in wage and hour class action litigation is important.

Requirements

• Experience in California employment law including, but not limited to, litigation experience in both PAGA and wage and hour class actions

• Trial experience is a plus

• Am Law 100 experience is a plus

• A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited school

• Must be admitted to practice law in the state of California
