JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Controller will play a critical role in managing all facets of the monthly close cycle, financial reporting, internal controls, and investment cycle. The position will report directly to the CFO and will partner with them to position the team for significant growth that will occur organically and through acquisition.  

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 5 years Finance leadership experience 
  • CPA 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or related field 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.   
  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external clients, utilizing high levels of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Remote work is available dependent upon the location of the Financial Controller and the needs of Crystal Creek Capital a private equity firm in Jackson, WY (https://crystalcreekcapital.com/ ). When the Financial Controller is based outside of the greater Jackson, WY area / Crystal Creek Capital Corporate Office, travel will be required for the role. This position must be based within reasonable travel access to Jackson, WY (i.e. Denver, CO and Salt Lake City, UT). In the event a scheduled trip to the corporate office is required, adequate advance notice will be given, and travel expenses will be reimbursed. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Manage the month-end close process for several entities 
  • Maintain timely and accurate financial reporting 
  • Maintain financial reporting and cash management systems 
  • Prepare and analyze operational forecasts and budgets for active investments 
  • Maintain accounting for investment fund and assets held for investment 
  • Manage investor capital balances and statement reporting 
  • Prepare investor capital call, distribution, and management fee calculations 
  • Establish, implement, and monitor appropriate internal controls and policies to ensure conformance and compliance with statutory requirements 
  • Assist with various internal and external reporting requirements including debt compliance matters 
  • Support new acquisitions post-investment 
  • Lead the annual year-end audit process and tax return preparation with external CPA firm 
  • Participate in technology initiatives 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
