Packaging Technician

Promega, a leading biotechnology company, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packaging Technician. As a Packaging Technician at Promega, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our packaging processes for our biotechnology products.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment, inspecting finished products for defects, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate packaging of our products, contributing to the overall success of our company.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment, including labeling machines, cartoners, and sealers
• Perform routine maintenance on packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Inspect finished products for defects, such as damaged packaging or incorrect labeling
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and comply with regulatory requirements
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve packaging issues
• Assist with inventory control and stock management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in packaging or manufacturing environment preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow established procedures
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Flexibility to work in shifts and overtime when required
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
